What is a Portrait?
A portrait is a loving family - comfortable in their den. A portrait is a child at play. A man at work. A couple in love. People all dressed up in beautiful surroundings. A portrait can be whatever you want it to be, as long as it tells your story. What defines you. Is it your smile? Your eyes? Your wardrobe? Your figure? Your environment? Chances are it's all of the above. It's very important that the subject communicate openly with the photographer to get the look you're after.
So what is a portrait? A portrait simply says,
" This is who I am."
Sessions
People are usually most comfortable in a familiar environment. Especially children (and pets). For this reason, I recommend I come to your home, and capture you in a natural setting. There are also other scenic places to shoot - including Cheekwood, the Parthenon, Belle Meade Plantation, and a few secret spots I know in Bellevue.
Once we have agreed upon a location, we can start the process of finding that look you wanted to capture. I'll take a variety of individual and group photographs until you're satisfied you've got the shots you want. This generally takes an hour or less, but I'm not a clock watcher. After the session you'll receive a proof CD with all images from the shoot, and easy ordering instructions.
Portrait Sessions start at $195 and include $100 in print credit.
Headshots
When you say the word "portrait" many people immediately think of a headshot. You know - framed on a desk, or on a realtor's business card. Or the "Recently Promoted" or "People on the Move" section of your local paper. Or any press release. Yipes! They're everywhere. Dating Services, Twitter, Facebook, the list goes on.
Headshots really are the simplest way to show who you are. I'll take a dozen or so shots, with different angles and lighting, and then within a few minutes we can review on the big screen to pick the one you like best. Let us help you put your best face forward. Literally.
Headshots are priced at $95 and include small and medium resolution files, in color and Black and White. Also includes your choice of one 8x10, or two 5x7's.
